COMING SOON

Shareholders and Interested Parties,

The CCDC Board convened an emergency meeting on Tuesday, March 25, to discuss the timing of the first turn.

Given the current conditions—higher-than-normal temperatures and a below-average snowpack—we may experience elevated flow rates over a relatively short spring runoff period. At present, all Smith Fork water is being diverted to the reservoir, which is filling at approximately 1% per day and is currently at 36% of capacity (adjusted for shrinkage).   Weather forecast is predicting rain late next week which we hope will help raise the reservoir to 50% of capacity (adjusted for shrinkage).

The Parshall flume at the headgate bypass is currently being replaced.  In light of this work and the potential for rain next week, the Board believes the most prudent course is to wait until the flume installation is complete and plan for the first turn in early April.

The Board will reconvene on April 6 or 7 to review conditions and make a final determination regarding the timing of the first turn.
